Peel the circular Corneum Strip Tape from its backing sheet.

Gently and evenly press it onto clean, makeup-free skin, then remove it.※

For consistent application pressure, we recommend using the optional DPRES22 or DPRES30 Pressure Applicator. It ensures uniform force across the strip — essential for accurate diagnostics, especially when using multiple strips.

Attach the used strip to the black area of the optional DC222 or DC230 Recording Card.
Visually compare the stratum corneum pattern against the standard reference images (available upon request for customers who purchase the Corneum Strip Tape) to assess dryness, roughness, and other skin conditions.

When you place the Corneum Checker on the black sheet after collecting skin cells, some white substances will appear on the film. These are the skin cells. If a large amount of skin cells is collected, they look whitish, and if the amount is small, they look blackish. Also, if the size and arrangement are uniform, the overall density will be even, but if they are non-uniform, the density will be uneven. When the skin is dry or irritated, large skin fragments appear on the Corneum Checker in an uneven, white state.
